The Creation of the New Cooperative Bank Moves One Step Closer
Pan-Cyprian Cooperative Bank to Brief Finance Minister on Progress
According to Cyprus’ public broadcaster RIK, the heads of the Pan-Cyprian Cooperative Bank—the newly established cooperative banking institution—will meet with the Minister of Finance on Wednesday, March 5, to provide an update on the progress made so far.
In recent statements, Finance Minister Makis Keravnos emphasized the urgent need for the creation of the new cooperative banking entity, highlighting its role in strengthening financial stability and community banking services in Cyprus.
The Pan-Cyprian Cooperative Bank has already briefed both the Central Bank of Cyprus and the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission on its ongoing actions and strategic plans.
Additionally, the bank maintains open communication with cooperative banks across Europe, particularly those with significant market shares, to gain insights and expertise from their operational experience.
