Cyprus University of Technology Secures Approval for New Academic Facilities
Expansion Project to Meet Growing Educational and Research Needs
The Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) has received initial approval from the Ministry of Finance for its development plan to construct new facilities for the Department of Multimedia and Graphic Arts and the School of Geotechnical Sciences and Environmental Management.
According to CUT, the modern facilities will be built on university-owned land adjacent to the 3rd Primary School of Limassol, as part of the development of CUT’s Second Campus Hub. The expansion aims to address both current and future academic needs of the department and school.
The estimated cost of the project is approximately €27 million, and an architectural competition has already been conducted for the Multimedia and Graphic Arts Department's building design.
The construction of these new facilities is part of CUT’s broader infrastructure development plan, which focuses on:
-
Meeting the university’s increasing space requirements
-
Creating modern teaching and research spaces
-
Reducing reliance on rented buildings
