96 Greek and Turkish Cypriot Entrepreneurs Compete for €410,000 at Stelios Bi-Communal Awards

Stelios Philanthropic Foundation Recognizes Business Cooperation with Cash Prizes Promoting Peaceful Coexistence

A total of 96 Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot entrepreneurs have submitted joint applications for the Stelios Bi-Communal Business Cooperation Awards, competing for a €410,000 prize fund. The awards, organized by Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, Founder and Owner of the easy family of brands and President of the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation, will recognize the ten best business partnerships.

According to an official statement from the foundation, the awards will be distributed as follows:

  • The Gold-winning team will receive €100,000 (€50,000 for each entrepreneur in the two-member team).
  • Two Silver-winning teams will each receive €50,000 (€25,000 per entrepreneur).
  • Seven Bronze-winning teams will each receive €30,000 (€15,000 per entrepreneur).

Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou will personally present the monetary awards at a ceremony scheduled for Friday, April 11, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., at the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation Headquarters, located at 5 Markou Drakou Street, Nicosia.

The event will also be attended by President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, underlining the significance of the initiative in fostering cross-community business cooperation.

Since its inception in 2009, the Stelios Bi-Communal Business Cooperation Awards have provided a total of €4.39 million in funding, demonstrating the foundation’s long-term commitment to promoting collaboration, mutual understanding, and peaceful coexistence between Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots through entrepreneurship.
