Direct Larnaca-Bucharest Flights Launched, Operating Three Times a Week

New Route Strengthens Connectivity Between Cyprus and Romania

Romanian airline AnimaWings has launched direct flights between Larnaca and Bucharest, operating three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

According to a statement by Orthodoxou Aviation, which serves as AnimaWings' General Sales Agent in Cyprus, the airline's new route was officially announced during a presentation at Larnaca Airport. The event was supported by Hermes Airports.

During the event, AnimaWings Board Chairman Marius Pandel, Chief Commercial Officer Diana Dima, and Systems Director Alexandru Nicolae highlighted the strategic significance of the new route. They also reaffirmed the airline’s commitment to providing high-quality, affordable air travel while outlining future plans for expanding its network.

Marius Pandel, who is also the airline’s co-owner, expressed his satisfaction with the launch, calling it a major milestone in AnimaWings' expansion efforts.

"We are proud to officially inaugurate the Bucharest-Larnaca route, marking a significant step in our mission to connect Romania with key destinations," Pandel stated.

"Cyprus holds a special place for Romanian travelers, whether for leisure, business, or family visits, and we are proud to offer a high-quality travel experience," he added.

Pandel also emphasized that the partnership with Orthodoxou Aviation further strengthens AnimaWings’ commitment to excellent service and fostering closer ties between the two countries.

Enhancing Connectivity and Tourism Between Cyprus and Romania

Orthodoxou Aviation CEO Antonis Orthodoxou noted that the direct connection between Larnaca and Bucharest will improve air connectivity between Cyprus and Romania.

"We expect this route to boost tourism while also strengthening trade relations between the two countries," he said.

He also revealed that AnimaWings plans to expand its network in the future, offering additional connections to European capitals at competitive prices.

Orthodoxou extended his gratitude to Hermes Airports for their collaboration, stating that their efforts contribute to the shared goal of enhancing Cyprus' air connectivity.

Maria Kouroupi, Director of Aviation Development, Marketing, and Communications at Hermes Airports, welcomed AnimaWings to Larnaca Airport, highlighting the importance of the new partnership.

"With this new collaboration, Hermes Airports takes another step in expanding Cyprus' connectivity, providing additional travel options to a country with which we share many ties," Kouroupi stated.

She concluded by wishing AnimaWings success and expressing her hope for a long-term and prosperous partnership.

Orthodoxou Aviation will be responsible for representing AnimaWings in Cyprus, managing sales, marketing, and overseeing the airline's operations at Larnaca Airport.
