Turkey Dismisses Claims of Opening Ports to Greek Cypriot Ships as "Fiction"

Ankara Denies Reports Linking Port Access to EU Visa Facilitation for Turkish Entrepreneurs

Oncu Keçeli described as "fiction" a report suggesting that Turkey would open its ports to Greek Cypriot ships.

According to Anadolu Agency, "the spokesperson for the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Oncu Keçeli, denied claims that Turkey’s ports would ‘open to Greek Cypriot ships in exchange for facilitating visa access to the EU for Turkish entrepreneurs’."

In a statement posted on social media, the spokesperson for the Turkish Foreign Ministry said that "the claims in the Greek Cypriot press that our country's ports will open to Greek Cypriot ships in exchange for facilitating EU visa issuance for our entrepreneurs are a product of imagination."
