Christos Angelides Takes Over as PASYXE General Manager
New Leadership Era Begins at the Cyprus Hotel Association from January 2025.
Christos Angelides will take on the role of General Manager of the Cyprus Hotel Association (PASYXE) starting January 1, 2025, following the departure of Filokypros Rousounides. The Hotel Association announced that the PASYXE Board of Directors approved Mr. Angelides' appointment during its latest meeting.
"PASYXE is entering a new era of leadership with Christos Angelides assuming the role of General Manager. Filokypros Rousounides concludes a successful tenure of nearly five years, leaving a strong legacy," the Association stated.
The announcement highlighted that Mr. Angelides brings extensive experience in the hotel industry. For over 30 years, he served the H & C group as an Executive Board Member and Director of Sales and Marketing, implementing strategic growth plans and managing long-term budgets. Additionally, he is the President of the Hotel Managers Association, Vice President of the Famagusta Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and an active member of committees under the Deputy Ministry of Tourism. He holds a Ph.D. and a Master's in Public Administration from the University of Southern California, as well as academic qualifications in Sports Management and Physical Education.
"It is a great honor for me to have earned your trust. I am committed to working with dedication and strategic vision, in collaboration with the Board of Directors, to strengthen PASYXE's position as a key pillar of the tourism industry," Mr. Angelides stated while addressing the PASYXE Board.
The Board of Directors expressed heartfelt gratitude to the outgoing General Manager, Filokypros Rousounides, for his exceptional contributions over the past nearly five years, emphasizing the significant progress achieved by the Association during his tenure.
"It has been an honor to serve the Association during these years. I wish PASYXE and the new General Manager every success in the future," said Mr. Rousounides.
He congratulated his successor, Mr. Angelides, assuring him of his ongoing support, and expressed his gratitude to the members of PASYXE.
