Emirates Appoints Samia Almudhareb as New Country Manager for Cyprus
The airline strengthens its Cyprus operations with a leadership appointment effective November 2025.
Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, has announced the appointment of Samia Almudhareb as its new Country Manager for Cyprus, effective November 2025.
Almudhareb joined Emirates in early 2024 as Commercial Support Manager, following a four-month assignment at the airline’s Vietnam station, where she supported the local commercial operations team. Before joining Emirates, she built a diverse career at the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), holding several positions that strengthened her expertise in engineering, sustainability, and asset management.
A graduate of Arizona State University with a degree in Electrical Engineering, Almudhareb also holds a Master’s Diploma in Engineering Systems Management from the American University of Sharjah.
“It is a great honor for me to take on this new role and represent Emirates in Cyprus,” said Almudhareb. “Cyprus is a dynamic and promising market, and I look forward to continuing to strengthen our presence, enhance the customer experience, and further expand our business opportunities on the island.”
In her new position, Almudhareb will oversee all of Emirates’ commercial and operational activities in Cyprus, including sales, passenger services, cargo operations, and airport management.
Emirates currently operates daily direct flights from Larnaca to Dubai and Malta using its Boeing 777-300ER aircraft — the largest passenger aircraft in the Cypriot market. Through its Dubai hub, the airline offers Cypriot travelers connections to over 150 destinations across six continents, reinforcing its pivotal role in linking Cyprus with global travel and trade networks.
