Cyprus Issue: Christodoulides and Tatar to Meet on April 2

First official meeting since the informal expanded talks in Geneva to take place in Nicosia.

President of the Republic Nikos Christodoulides will meet with Turkish Cypriot leader Ersin Tatar on April 2, marking their first official encounter since the informal expanded meeting in Geneva, according to information from the Cyprus News Agency.

The President stated on Saturday that the Greek Cypriot side had communicated, through the United Nations, a few possible dates for holding the meeting.

According to sources, the meeting has been scheduled for April 2 at 9:00 a.m. It is expected to take place at the residence of the UN Secretary-General’s Special Representative in Cyprus, Colin Stewart, located in the United Nations-controlled area of the Nicosia airport.
