Deputy Minister of Research, Innovation, and Digital Policy, Philippos Chatzizacharias, announced that the final solution for the new Electronic Justice System in Cyprus is expected in February 2024.

Mr. Chatzizacharias stated that on Monday, December 18, 2023, the country's new Electronic Justice System will begin pilot operation, with the final solution anticipated by February 2024.

"We have worked methodically and precisely, always in coordination with the Bar Association and the Supreme Court, to deliver a user-friendly, simplified, and effective justice system to both citizens and legal professionals. This system will provide all the necessary tools for digital-only operations," the Deputy Minister noted.

He remarked on the long-standing request of the Bar Association, which the state previously failed to fulfill. "Under the government of Nikos Christodoulides, this request has been realized," the Deputy Minister stated.

"This is a significant step towards Cyprus's digital transformation," he said. He acknowledged the potential for issues, noting that transitions to new systems can be challenging.

"We are ready to provide any necessary solutions to emerging issues. I affirm our support for both the Bar Association and the Judicial Authorities," Mr. Chatzizacharias emphasized.

"Our goal is to eliminate bureaucracy and equip the governance system with user-friendly digital services," he concluded.
