Research and Innovation Foundation Invites Cypriot Entities to Participate in Travel Grants
Funding Up to €1,000
The Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF) has unveiled an opportunity for individuals affiliated with Cypriot institutions. The Foundation has issued a call for expressions of interest to participate in events under the "Horizon Europe Travel Grants" initiative. These events are part of the European Union’s "Horizon Europe" Research and Innovation Framework Programme for 2021-2027.
According to RIF's official press release, the total budget allocated for this new initiative stands at €100,000. Each selected participant can receive funding up to €1,000 to cover travel costs. Those eligible to apply include individuals associated with universities, research organizations, businesses, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and public service departments in Cyprus.
The main goal of the Horizon Europe Travel Grants is to bolster the participation of Cypriot entities in international events that provide substantial partnership opportunities. Such participation will aid in the collaborative submission of proposals to future Horizon Europe programs.
The travel grants will cover attendance at various types of networking events, known as Brokerage Events, as well as other international activities aimed at fostering partnerships. These could be organized by European Union bodies, national contact point networks, or other recognized entities and initiatives.
This call specifically targets entities that are considering the submission of proposals to Horizon Europe as either coordinators or leaders of work packages or tasks within potential consortia.
Interested applicants can submit their expression of interest through RIF’s online IRIS platform. The deadline for submissions is no later than three weeks prior to the start date of the chosen event. For additional information or queries, you can reach out to RIF via email at [email protected] or by calling 22205000.
The call is co-funded by the European Union, as part of the NCP_WIDERA.NET project within the Horizon Europe program, and supplemented by national resources from Cyprus.
