Cyprus Land and Building Developers Association Celebrates 40 Years of Industry Leadership

Contributing Over 15% to Cyprus’s GDP and Employing More Than 35,000 Workers

In its 40 years of existence, the Cyprus Land and Building Developers Association has become a dynamic advocate for the land and real estate development sector, contributing over 15% to Cyprus's GDP and employing more than 35,000 workers, according to a statement by the Association.

The Association emphasizes that the land and real estate development sector is a fundamental pillar of the Cypriot economy.

It adds, "In 1983, industry professionals, recognizing the challenges of the time and the need for an association to serve as the collective voice of companies in the sector, founded the Association, placing it under the umbrella of the Cyprus Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEB)."

The statement highlights that the key players in this journey are the industry professionals, who "through their modern and advanced projects, have significantly contributed to the development of Cyprus."

The Cyprus Land and Building Developers Association also notes that "today it is a reliable social partner, leveraging the expertise of its members to support the work of the executive and legislative authorities and contribute to the effort to improve the sector."

Finally, the Association notes that to honor its 40-year history, its President, Yiannis Misirlis, and the Board of Directors organized an event attended by the President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, Finance Minister Makis Keravnos, Foreign Minister Konstantinos Kombos, Transport Minister Alexis Vafeades, OEB President Antonis Antoniou, as well as representatives of employer organizations and prominent figures from the economy and business sectors.
