Top 10 Most Expensive Property Sales in March Reach €48 Million
The Limassol District Accounts for Four Transactions in the Top Ten Sales, Complemented by Two Sales Each in the Nicosia, Larnaca, and Paphos Districts
The cost of the top ten most expensive real estate transactions completed in March amounted to €48.1 million, with the priciest sale involving an office complex in the Potamos Germasogeias area of Limassol priced at €28 million.
According to an analysis by Ask Wire from the Land Registry data, the Limassol district accounts for four transactions in the top ten sales, complemented by two sales each in the Nicosia, Larnaca, and Paphos districts.
The value of these transactions in the Limassol district amounted to €36.1 million, in the Nicosia district to €4.2 million, as in the Paphos district, and in the Larnaca district to €3.7 million, as noted in a company statement.
Furthermore, according to Ask Wire, the 50 largest transactions, ten per district in February, totaled more than €78 million, with 55.1% of this value attributed to the ten properties in the Limassol district, totaling €43 million.
The top ten most expensive properties in the Paphos district were sold for €10.6 million, in Nicosia for €10.3 million, and in Larnaca for €8.7 million. The ten most expensive properties sold in March in the free district of Famagusta were valued at €5.3 million.
Pavlos Loizou, Managing Director of Ask Wire, commented that it is clear that the most expensive sale of €28 million in Limassol in March significantly impacted the total of high-value property sales recorded both across Cyprus and locally in Limassol.
He mentioned that this transaction accounts for over 65% of the value of the top ten most expensive sales in Limassol for March and approximately 36% of the 50 most expensive sales (10 per district) that occurred in the districts of free Cyprus that month.
"Beyond this, we have seen nearly all districts, except for the free Famagusta, participating in the top ten most expensive sales of the month after February, when Limassol and Paphos had dominated the sales of high-value properties," he concluded.
