On October 5th, 2023, the Enavsma Foundation in collaboration with the "Cyprus Seeds" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center will be organizing their inaugural scientific panel. This event will feature four distinguished women who have made significant contributions to the fields of biotechnology and scientific innovation.

Maria Markidou Georgiadou, the CEO of Cyprus Seeds, will discuss the organization's significant contributions to local scientific advancements. Alongside her, Professor Fofi Constantinidou from the Center for Applied Neuroscience at the University of Cyprus, together with doctoral student Ioulia Solomou, will present the innovative therapeutic platform "CAT – BRAIN" that enhances brain functions.

Dr. Marianna Prokopi Demetriades, the founder of Theramir Ltd, Promed Bioscience Ltd, RSL Revolutionary Labs Ltd, and Clinical Associate Professor in Research Oncology, will present on "Enavsma: Nurturing Innovation in a Startup Journey in Cyprus”.

Rounding off the speaker line-up, the keynote will be delivered by Anna Protopapas, the retired CEO and current Chairperson of Mersana Therapeutics. With a distinguished career in the US, she will share her extensive knowledge and experience in biotechnology and cancer treatment research.

About Enavsma Foundation

The Enavsma Foundation has evolved and become independent from the joint scholarship fund of Thanos Hotels & Resorts and Round Table 7 of Paphos. It organizes events enriching the cultural and artistic scene, generating financial resources for the foundation. This helps increase the number of scholarships and allows more young Cypriots the opportunity to study, spread their wings, and become the leaders and pioneers of tomorrow. Over the years, Enavsma has executed three application cycles and this year, in its new form, provided ten scholarships on a nationwide basis.
