Reflect Festival hits the road, first Pop-Up brought Cyprus vibes to Bratislava

Cyprus' flagship tech event, Reflect Festival, is extending beyond the island's borders. The organizers have announced a new “Reflect Pop-Up series” - mini-festivals held in unique locations outside of Cyprus, intended to connect like-minded people, entrepreneurs, and investors within the local community. The first edition took place in Bratislava on July 13th, with 150 attendees enjoying the Danube views, networking and learning about the newest trends.

“In the true spirit of bringing doers together, we've decided to hit the road and showcase Reflect in strategic geographies that have big potential for synergies with Cyprus,” says Stylianos Lambrou, Reflect's Co-founder. “The Bratislava event was a perfect platform to tell people more about Reflect and the opportunities that the island has to offer. Many of those who attended will visit the festival in person, encouraging further business collaborations between Slovak and Cypriot ecosystems,” explains Dusan Duffek, also Reflect's co-founder, who comes from Slovakia.

Reflect Pop-Up welcomed several speakers who either did or will present at Reflect, bringing forward deeply resonating topics. Ahmed Abdelhamid, Natallia Miranchuk, Dominika Bzduchova and the moderator, Dusan Duffek discussed the seismic shifts in the new innovation ecosystems, namely Cyprus and the Middle East, as well as the related unexpected opportunities. Another panel focused on gaming as a disruptor of the entire entertainment industry, with Ivan Trancik from Superscale guiding the discussion with Ian Masters, Berke Dikmen and Jure Grahek

Reflect Popup happened thanks to reliable supporters of innovation and entrepreneurial spirit: Microcomp, Superscale, Matador, Microsoft, Research & Innovation Foundation, payabl., CYTA, Elias Neocleous & Co LLC, and PwC

The organizers will announce the next editions after Reflect Festival, which will take place on September 20-21 in Limassol, Cyprus.
