The 4th CITEA DIGITAL CYPRUS CONFERENCE, titled “Driving Business Success through Digital Technologies,” was held with great success and participation from key figures of the private and public sectors on June 20, 2025, in Nicosia.

The conference focused on how digital technologies are transforming the business world by providing tools for flexibility, innovation, and strategic growth. Special emphasis was placed on themes such as digital transformation, artificial intelligence, data analytics, cybersecurity, digital user experience, and digital culture in businesses.

The official opening of the conference was made by the Minister of Research, Innovation, and Digital Policy, Dr. Nikodimos Damianou, who highlighted the importance of technology as a driver of growth for the Cypriot economy and society. At the same time, the President of CITEA, Mr. Dimitris Nisiotis, emphasized the significance of continuous progress and the role of the association in shaping a strong digital ecosystem in Cyprus.

A standout moment of the conference was the CITEA Awards ceremony, an institution that honors individuals who have made decisive contributions to the progress of the IT sector in Cyprus. As part of the ceremony, the CITEA 2025 Honorary Award for Lifetime Contribution was posthumously awarded to Panikos Akritas, in recognition of his longstanding and decisive contribution to the development of IT in Cyprus. The CITEA Women in Tech 2025 award was presented to Ms. Maria Militsopoulou, in recognition of her remarkable professional journey and the inspiration she provides to other women in the field of technology.

In the exhibition area of the conference, several member companies of the association and sponsoring companies participated, presenting their organizations and technological offerings.

The conference concluded with the customary networking reception, providing participants the opportunity to exchange ideas and explore collaboration opportunities around digital innovation and technological developments.
