The Cyprus IT Enterprises Association (CITEA), a member of the Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEB), participated in the Digital Europe Summit held in Budapest on April 18-19, 2024. The summit featured 41 business associations from 22 countries, with Cyprus represented by the Head of CITEA's European Affairs Committee, Kyriakos Kyriakou.

Among the topics discussed during the summit were the Artificial Intelligence Regulation (AI Act), cybersecurity, digital skills, and the promotion of research and innovation. Workshops were held, and case studies related to RRF funding were presented.

Through the discussions, attendees had the opportunity to exchange views on the digital progress of EU member states and ways to address various digital challenges. They also established common priorities to be presented to the next European Commission.
