Cyprus Awards Major IT Overhaul to UpcoMinds

IT firm UpcoMinds secures a 3-year government contract to lead Cyprus's digital transformation across ministries and public services.

UpcoMinds, a leading IT services and consulting firm with roots in Brussels and operational hubs in Greece and Cyprus, has been awarded a major contract by the Republic of Cyprus to support its national IT infrastructure.

The three-year project involves end-to-end support for critical IT systems across ministries and public agencies. It includes both software and hardware maintenance, contributing to the uninterrupted operation and ongoing digital transformation of Cyprus’s public administration. Specialized teams from Greece and Cyprus began assuming responsibilities in April, with full deployment now underway.

“This partnership is a clear validation of our cross-border capabilities and a testament to our people — the driving force behind every achievement,” said Kostas Flokos, CEO of UpcoMinds. “We are honored by the trust placed in us by the Republic of Cyprus.”

Founded in Brussels in 1997, UpcoMinds has evolved into a dynamic international firm offering a wide range of IT services, including managed IT services, mobile app development, software design and architecture, websites and e-commerce platforms, and IT consulting. The company also specializes in outsourcing skilled IT professionals to clients across more than 10 countries.

With offices in Greece since 2007 and in Cyprus since 2012, UpcoMinds has steadily expanded its footprint in the region. Its clientele includes multinational corporations such as IBM, Kyndryl, and Starbucks, as well as a wide base of small and medium-sized enterprises across Europe.

UpcoMinds’ approach focuses on bridging the gap between business needs and IT implementation. “We help organizations tackle two key challenges in digital transformation,” the company states. “We design IT architecture tailored to each client’s unique processes and ensure the best-qualified personnel are in place to deliver it.”
