The European University Cyprus Medical School has announced the launch of the pioneering IHI READI project (Innovative Health Initiative, Research in Europe and Diversity Inclusion). The initiative seeks to establish a cohesive and inclusive ecosystem in clinical research.

The READI project unites a multidisciplinary team of 73 organizations from 18 countries and is funded by the Innovative Health Initiative under the Horizon Europe program. With a total budget of €66.8 million, the project will span six years.

The European University Cyprus will contribute to the initiative with a €1.2 million budget allocation. Its focus will be on understanding underserved and underrepresented populations, addressing the barriers they face, and developing and piloting an inclusive clinical research network in Cyprus.
