Nicosia Expands EV Charging Network with New e-Point Locations

Two New Charging Stations Have Been Made Available to the Public

Two additional e-Point electric vehicle charging stations are now available to the public in Nicosia.

According to an announcement released by the Municipality of Nicosia, starting from Friday, May 10, 2024, two new e-Point charging stations have been activated at municipal parking spaces at Davila Moat and Tripoli (Solomou Square).

It is noted that since March 2023, two electric chargers have been operational on Stasandrou and Princess Zina de Tyre Streets (Zina Kanther). Currently, charging is offered free of charge, with a time limit from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The Municipality of Nicosia, being the first to initiate such an action, “is committed to creating a more humane center in the capital,” the announcement states. The aim is to minimize the city's ecological footprint by reducing vehicular emissions and facilitating access to environmentally friendly transport options. “Electric cars are a step in this direction, with the primary benefit always being improved air quality,” the statement concludes.
