This engaging series is inspired by Google’s Tech Talks initiative and aims to foster knowledge-sharing and discussion within the technical community. The event will be held at The Base by CyprusInno, located in Nicosia’s historic Buffer Zone next to the Ledra Palace Hotel, on June 6, 2024. The evening promises a blend of an insightful presentation, networking opportunities, and lively discussions.

Nicolas Ioannou, Senior Android Engineer at Plum, will lead a captivating 60-minute session that delves into the innovative use of Gemini AI in music education. Attendees will explore the capabilities of Gemini AI, a cutting-edge large language model, in analyzing guitar playing. The talk will demonstrate how Gemini’s API can be used to upload guitar performance videos to Google Cloud and provide valuable feedback on the technique. Furthermore, the potential for Gemini’s API to suggest personalized practice exercises will be investigated.

In addition to the technical aspects, the session will address the ethical considerations of integrating AI into music education and whether AI can truly capture the nuanced human touch required in musical training. This interactive session promises to offer a forward-looking perspective on the intersection of AI and the arts.
