The phrase “House of Gucci” might bring to mind the book or the movie, but in the exclusive residential heart of Rome, there literally exists a house that was built and still belongs to the heirs of the Gucci family. 

Villa Gucci in Rome is located on Via della Camilluccia, one of the city's most aristocratic residential streets in the north.

The heirs of the former president of the Italian fashion house are offloading two of the family's long-standing villas in the heart of Rome. The two-and-a-half-acre property, about 10 minutes from the city's historic center, includes two luxury villas and a large swimming pool, available on the market for a total value of 15 million euros, approximately 16 million dollars.

Renovated in the 1990s with exquisite finishes, the property features a beautiful park of about 7,000 square meters. Overall, the estate is surrounded by approximately 10,000 square meters of parkland. Behind a private gate, there is a splendid main entrance surrounded by trees, leading to the first main villa. Beneath the large garden with a separate entrance is a second villa requiring renovation.

Aldo Gucci, who moved to Rome from Florence to follow the expansion of the family business, started building the villa in the late 1940s, which was completed in 1951. Aldo Gucci, the eldest of Aida Calvelli and Guccio Gucci's five children, was the president of Gucci from 1953 to 1986.

The residence is inspired by a mix of English style with Tuscan touches. Aldo Gucci's wife, Olwen Price, was born in the United Kingdom, hence the typical arched windows and other typical decorations on the two facades of the house.

The second villa, accessed from Via Pecori Giraldi, was also built by Aldo Gucci in the early 1960s for one of his sons. The two villas have belonged to the Gucci family for many years, and now the heirs have decided to find a buyer who can breathe new life into the property, enhancing its value.
