AmCham Cyprus Elects New Board Led by Marios Kapiris

New leadership focuses on innovation, collaboration, and positioning Cyprus as a regional business hub.

The Cyprus-American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham Cyprus) has announced its newly elected Board of Directors, following the Annual General Meeting held on 18 September 2025 and the Board session on 16 October.

Mr. Marios Kapiris, Executive Director of Kyndryl Cyprus, has been elected President, succeeding Mr. George A. Georgiou, who completed his successful term. The Chamber extended its warm thanks to Mr. Georgiou for his leadership, strategic vision, and dedication to strengthening US–Cyprus relations during his presidency.

A New Executive Team

The new Executive Team of the Board consists of:

  • Marios Kapiris – President (Executive Director, Kyndryl Cyprus)

  • Savvas Klitou – Vice President (Regional Managing Partner & Head of Tax Services, Baker Tilly South East Europe)

  • Ilias Orphanou – Treasurer (Director, Chevron Cyprus)

  • Louiza Papageorgiou – General Secretary (Government & Public Affairs Manager, ExxonMobil Cyprus)

  • George A. Georgiou – Past President (Director of Digital Policy & Innovation, Logicom Public Ltd)

The Board Members represent leading organizations such as Chevron, ExxonMobil, Microsoft, IBM, Bank of Cyprus, Deloitte, PwC, Eurobank, and others across the technology, energy, consulting, and financial services sectors — reflecting the Chamber’s broad and influential membership base.

Expanding Cooperation and Fostering Innovation

Under its new leadership, AmCham Cyprus has set ambitious goals:

  • Promoting innovation and digital transformation across industries;

  • Strengthening member participation and networking opportunities;

  • Deepening bilateral cooperation between Cyprus and the United States;

  • Positioning Cyprus as a leading business and investment hub in the Eastern Mediterranean.

In its statement, AmCham emphasized its continued role as a dynamic platform for dialogue and collaboration, creating opportunities for sustainable growth and competitiveness in a rapidly evolving global market.

Mr. Kapiris and the new Board pledged to build upon previous successes while embracing new opportunities that empower members and enhance Cyprus’s international business profile. “Together, we aim to advance US–Cyprus business relations through innovation, inclusivity, and excellence,” the Chamber stated.
