Applications Open for the 14th Stelios Bi-Communal Awards - €200,000 for 10 Winning Bi-Communal Business Teams

Cultivating and Strengthening Trustful Relations Between the Two Communities

For the 14th consecutive year, Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, the creator and owner of the easy family of brands and founder and president of the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation, is awarding the Bi-Communal Business Cooperation - Stelios Awards, donating a total of €200,000 to 10 winning bi-communal business teams.

The Stelios Bi-Communal Awards have become an institution in Cyprus since their inception in 2009, as stated in a related announcement. To date, including this year's amount of €200,000, the total value of the Awards amounts to €4,390,000.

As mentioned in the announcement, the Bi-Communal Business Cooperation Awards competition focuses exclusively on business activities between Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots, who can compete for a cash prize of €20,000 (€10,000 for each business member of the bi-communal team).

Applications for the Stelios Bi-Communal Awards can be submitted from Monday, January 29, until Friday, March 15, 2024.

It is clarified that, according to the terms of the Awards, Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots whose business has an annual turnover of at least ten thousand euros and employs at least one person other than the owner can participate. They must also submit evidence of joint business activities in both communities.

Previous winners and nominees are welcome to participate in the Stelios Awards again, following the above process, provided they meet all the criteria.

The Award Ceremony of the Stelios Bi-Communal Awards for Business Cooperation will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation headquarters, located at 5 Markou Drakou Street, Nicosia.

Commenting on the bi-communal awards, Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou stated, "Business cooperation between Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots cultivates and strengthens trustful relations between the two communities."
