Bird Aviation Expands at Old Larnaca Airport with Third Aircraft Hangar

New facility boosts MRO capacity in Cyprus, enabling simultaneous servicing of up to four narrow-body aircraft.

Bird Aviation is advancing its expansion at the old Larnaca Airport with the construction of a third aircraft maintenance and repair hangar. Scheduled for completion by November 2025, the project will allow the company to service up to four narrow-body aircraft simultaneously, significantly enhancing its operational capabilities.

The investment marks a pivotal step in Bird Aviation’s growth strategy, addressing rising demand from both airlines and aircraft leasing companies. By adding a third hangar to its facilities, the company reinforces its capacity and further positions Cyprus as a strategic Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) hub in the Eastern Mediterranean.

“This project reflects the trust of our customers and the momentum we have built as a team,” said Frederic Pralus, CEO of Bird Aviation. “The new facility will give us the ability to deliver even more comprehensive services, while at the same time laying the foundation for our future expansion.”

The new development follows the completion of Bird Aviation’s second hangar in late 2024, underscoring the company’s consistent growth and long-term commitment to expanding its footprint in the region’s aviation services sector.
