Christodoulides Meets with OEB Executive Committee to Discuss Key Business Issues
The Agenda Will Cover Urgent Matters Concerning Businesses
Today, at 5 PM, President Nikos Christodoulides is scheduled to meet with the 20-member Executive Committee of the Cyprus Employers & Industrialists Federation (OEB). They plan to discuss current issues and proposals put forward by the Federation.
As Brief reports, the agenda will cover urgent matters concerning businesses, such as the green transition, challenges arising from staff shortages, and the need for incentives and tax reliefs to boost entrepreneurship.
Speaking to Brief, OEB General Director Michalis Antoniou expressed optimism about the meeting with the President, anticipating that the experience and knowledge of the Executive Committee members will lead to the generation of fresh ideas and initiatives, beyond the planned agenda and recommendations to be presented to the President.
Furthermore,OEB has already scheduled an upcoming trip abroad involving the Federation’s participation.
It is important to note that this planned meeting occurs in the wake of President Christodoulides' statements about a new expanded economic model promoted by the Government. As the President himself stated, this model moves away from the past approach that depicted the country as a “supermarket” where one could invest in anything.
