Cyprus Promotes Investment at China Trade in Services Fair

Ministry of Energy, Commerce, and Industry Showcases Cyprus as a Global Business Hub in China

The Ministry of Energy, Commerce, and Industry participated in the 11th China International Fair for Trade in Services to promote Cyprus as a destination for investment and business services, according to a ministry statement.

The ministry, in collaboration with the Cyprus Trade Center in Beijing, hosted an informational booth at the event, held in Beijing from September 12 to 16, 2024. The China International Fair for Trade in Services is one of Asia's largest general trade fairs focused on services.

The Cypriot booth attracted a large number of business representatives who received informational material about Cyprus and its advantages as an international business center. Notably, there was significant interest in sectors such as professional services (company registration), IT, technology, and education, the Ministry says.

In addition, Cyprus' Trade Counselor in Beijing, Petros Petrou, gave several interviews and spoke at two conferences, further promoting Cyprus as a business and investment destination.

It is noted that the fair, which has been held annually since 2012, attracted 342,000 visitors this year and featured participation from 85 countries and international organizations.
