Daleela Ferry Launches 2024 Season: Exclusive Departures from Limassol to Piraeus

In 2023, Approximately 12,000 Passengers Traveled on the Daleela, With Around 2,500 Vehicles Transported

Daleela, the well-known ferry operating the maritime route between Cyprus and Piraeus, will set sail this year on Wednesday, May 29.

As reported by Brief, final arrangements have been made recently between all relevant parties in Cyprus and Greece (companies, ports, and government agencies), and this summer's schedule, beginning at the end of May and concluding in early September, has been established.

On April 16, the Deputy Ministry of Shipping will hold a press conference to provide passengers and interested parties with all necessary information about this year's sailings.

This year, Daleela will depart solely from the port of Limassol, foregoing the Larnaca port used last summer. The choice of Larnaca was deemed economically unfeasible, thus only Limassol Port will be utilized.

A slight increase in port taxes is expected. However, ticket prices set by the company will remain the same. The minor increase in the overall fare will be due to increased taxes by the port management company.

Anticipated High Interest

The previous two years saw significant interest in the Cyprus-Piraeus route. Particularly last year, almost all available tickets were sold out, a trend expected to continue this year.

In 2023, approximately 12,000 passengers traveled on the Daleela, with around 2,500 vehicles transported.

Scandro Holding Ltd, the owner of Daleela, will collaborate again with Orthodoxou Travel for ticket issuance in Cyprus.

Tickets can be purchased online and at Orthodoxou Travel's local outlets. They are expected to be available after the April 16 press conference by the Deputy Ministry of Shipping.

A reminder that the journey from Limassol to Piraeus takes approximately 30 hours. Since last year, internet access on the ship has been an option for an additional charge.
