Future of Larnaca Port Under Review at Presidential Meeting

Christodoulides Convenes Stakeholders to Discuss Strategic Plans for Larnaca’s Port Development

The future of Larnaca's port will be the focus of a meeting taking place today, Tuesday, convened by the President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, at the Presidential Palace.

The meeting, scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM, will include the participation of Larnaca Mayor Andreas Vyras, Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) President Stavros Stavrou, and Minister of Transport, Communications, and Works Alexis Vafeadis.

Speaking on the sidelines of the Epiphany celebrations in Ayia Napa, Minister Alexis Vafeadis commented on the significance of today's meeting concerning Larnaca’s port.

“This meeting was organized on the initiative of the President of the Republic and will include representatives from Larnaca. The discussion will focus on the future of the city’s port,” Vafeadis stated.

The Minister emphasized that “our priority is determining what is best for Larnaca and Cyprus as a whole. This principle guides all our decisions.”

He further added, “We approach this issue without any preconceived notions. We are open to any discussion, provided it serves the best interests of Larnaca and Cyprus.”
