A working breakfast was organized on the topic of "Presentation of Incentives to Businesses for Sustainable Development."
The extension in the submission of applications for the Grants Scheme for Encouraging Greenhouse Gas Emission Reductions in businesses was announced by the Department of Environment during a working breakfast on the topic "Presentation of Incentives to Businesses for Sustainable Development," organized by the Pan-Cyprian Association of Energy-Saving Enterprises (PASEE), a member of the Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEB), which took place last Monday.
According to a related announcement in the event's welcome speech, the Minister of Energy, Commerce, and Industry, George Papastasiou, extensively discussed the Ministry's efforts to achieve Cyprus's ambitious energy goals, with an emphasis on reducing energy costs for all consumers.
The President of PASEE, George Georgiou, emphasized the need to intensify Cyprus's actions to achieve climate change goals and noted that energy efficiency and rational energy use are necessary to achieve the ambitious goals of European energy policy and ensure Cyprus's energy security.
According to the announcement, the event also discussed topics such as the challenges and role of a feasible strategy for large companies, the role of banks in the Green Transition, green financing through ESCOs, a Grants Scheme for Energy Upgrade and Enhancement of the Competitiveness of Large Enterprises, and a Grants Scheme for Encouraging Greenhouse Gas Emission Reductions in Businesses.
