Invest Cyprus Engages Indian Business Leaders in Roundtable Discussion

Aftercare Services and Investment Opportunities at the Forefront of Cyprus-India Collaboration

Invest Cyprus recently organized a roundtable discussion with Indian business leaders, focusing on its Aftercare services designed to assist investors after their initial investments have been implemented. The event, held in collaboration with the Deputy Minister of Research, Innovation, and Digital Policy, Dr. Nikodemos Damianou, and the High Commissioner of India to Cyprus, Shri Manish, aimed to further strengthen the bilateral ties between Cyprus and India. Throughout the event, attendees shared valuable insights and experiences from their investment journeys.

Evgenios Evgeniou, Chairman of Invest Cyprus, highlighted the strong collaboration between Cyprus and India, particularly in the technology and services sectors. He emphasized Cyprus' potential as an investment hub for Indian companies and engaged with investors on strategies to enhance the country’s attractiveness as a destination for investment.

During his speech, Deputy Minister Dr. Nikodemos Damianou reinforced the essential role of Invest Cyprus in facilitating investments, especially through its Aftercare services. He outlined the benefits of Cyprus as a desirable investment destination, pointing to its strategic location, favorable legal framework, tax incentives, and advanced technological infrastructure.

High Commissioner Shri Manish underscored the importance of collaboration between Indian technology firms and Cyprus, describing the island as an ideal partner for Indian businesses seeking to enter the European market. He also identified areas for improvement, such as the establishment of a social security system for Indian professionals in Cyprus, the facilitation of skilled migration and mobility between the two nations, and the promotion of joint research initiatives in areas like cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and big data.

With a long-standing relationship in technology and investments, Cyprus is among the top ten foreign investors in India. Invest Cyprus remains committed to expanding bilateral economic ties, with a focus on collaboration with Indian investors and the continuous improvement of its Aftercare services.
