Jumbo Plans Two New Stores in Cyprus

Retail chain Jumbo posts solid first-half 2025 results and announces expansion in Cyprus, where it already operates six outlets.

Greek retail giant Jumbo has announced plans to expand its presence in Cyprus with the opening of two new hyper-stores within the next five years, according to its financial results for the first half of 2025.

The company currently operates six outlets across the island. The group confirmed that the expansion is part of its broader growth strategy.

Jumbo, which operates 89 stores across Greece, Cyprus, Bulgaria, and Romania, continues to expand steadily, targeting around two new hyper-stores annually. Alongside physical expansion, the group is investing in e-commerce, cybersecurity, AI tools, and modernizing its ERP systems to enhance efficiency and customer experience.

The retailer also maintains a strong international presence through 41 franchise stores in seven countries, including Albania, Kosovo, Serbia, North Macedonia, Bosnia, Montenegro, and Israel, with further collaborations under consideration.
