Kapnos: What’s New This Tourist Season in Cyprus Airport Transfers

More Frequent Bus Routes, Along with New Hygiene and Digital Payment Standards

Bus routes connecting Nicosia, Larnaca, Ayia Napa, and Protaras to Larnaca and Paphos airports—as well as routes linking the two airports—are being significantly increased, according to an announcement by Kapnos Airport Shuttle.

During a press conference held in Nicosia, the company also presented survey results indicating that roughly 9 in 10 respondents expressed satisfaction with the safe transport of both passengers and luggage.

According to the company's announcement, CEO Charalambos Anastasios Kapnos stated during the event that routes to and from Larnaca Airport already operate every 30 minutes during peak hours. Starting June 1, 2025, routes to and from Paphos Airport will increase by 50%.

"Passengers can now purchase their tickets cash-free," noted Mr. Kapnos, adding that drivers operating the airport routes have been equipped with JCC devices, allowing customers to pay their fare using bank cards.

He also highlighted the company’s high cleanliness standards across its fleet, announcing that in recent days, the bar has been raised even higher.

"All buses are not only cleaned but also disinfected using a special electrostatic sprayer and specialized cleaning products," he said. "This disinfection method is already used by leading airlines such as Delta Airlines and global tech giants like Google, Apple, and NASA."

During the press conference, Mr. Kapnos also shared data from a survey conducted by RAI Consultants, based on a sample of 1,131 individuals.

According to the survey, 91% of respondents who used Kapnos Airport Shuttle services were satisfied with the safe transport of passengers and luggage.

Additionally, 87% were satisfied with overall service, 86% with seat comfort, and 83% with the politeness and friendliness of the drivers.

It was also announced that Kapnos Airport Shuttle recently introduced its first luxury coach for corporate transport. The company also received two 22-seater minibuses and will take delivery of eight more in the coming days. Together, the new vehicles will increase the company’s annual passenger capacity by 100,000 seats.
