Kyndryl Appoints Matteo Taglioni as Vice President and Managing Director for Central and Eastern Europe & Eastern Mediterranean
Kyndryl, the world’s largest IT infrastructure services provider, announced the appointment of Matteo Taglioni as Vice President and Managing Director for Central and Eastern Europe & Eastern Mediterranean (CEE&EM). In this role, Taglioni will lead Kyndryl’s business operations and strategic initiatives across the region, driving growth and innovation for the company. He will also support customers in modernizing and managing their mission-critical systems by leveraging emerging technologies to fuel business transformation.
Taglioni brings over 20 years of experience in the IT industry, with a proven track record of leadership in various senior roles. Prior to this role, he served as Vice President of the Financial Services Sector Unit at Kyndryl Italy, where he managed some of the largest customer relationships across banking, insurance companies, and other financial institutions in Italy, leading complex transformation projects.
Before joining Kyndryl, he held multiple leadership roles at IBM, including Vice President for a leading financial services client, Board Member of Value Transformation Services, Director of Sales, Chief Operating Officer for Systems Hardware in Europe, and Sales Unit Director for Banking and Insurance. Earlier in his career, Taglioni served as Chief of Staff to the CEO of IBM Italy, held key roles as a key account manager, technical solution manager, and IT architect, and began his professional journey as a technician.
He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Henley Business School, where his thesis focused on the diffusion of offshore application management services in the Italian market. Additionally, he completed a specialization course in IT Management at SDA Bocconi School of Management and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication Engineering from Università di Bologna. Today, Taglioni is an executive sponsor and active member of the Kyndryl Inclusion Network, supporting the development of women within the company.
