Paphos Marina Tender Expected by Early September
The tender for the Paphos Marina project in Potima is nearing publication, pending final legal checks from the Legal Service.
By early September, the tender for the Paphos Marina project in Potima is expected to be announced, according to the President of the Cyprus Association of Large-Scale Land Developments, Andreas Demetriades.
In statements to CNA, Mr. Demetriades said that months ago, the Deputy Ministry of Tourism had informed them that the international tender for the marina was initially scheduled for publication in June.
He noted that the Deputy Ministry had prepared the tender dossier and forwarded it to the Legal Service for a legal and technical review.
However, the Legal Service requested some clarifications from the Deputy Ministry of Tourism. These have now been sent to the Attorney General’s Office, and the final legal-technical review is currently pending.
Mr. Demetriades emphasized that once the review is completed, the tender announcement will proceed without delay.
He further stated that Deputy Minister of Tourism Kostas Koumis has assured them that the tender process will not face further delays, stressing that it is now a matter of approving the tender documents by the Legal Service.
“In conclusion,” he said, “we expect the tender to be announced within August or by early September.”
