In April 2024, the number of registered unemployed individuals decreased by 10,880 in total, marking a 17,2% decline on a yearly basis. This figure represents the lowest number of registered unemployed individuals since June 2021, when automatic registration renewals were abolished.

According to the Statistical Service, based on data maintained by the Provincial Employment Offices, the number of registered unemployed individuals at the end of April 2024 reached a total of 9.343. Seasonally adjusted data, which indicate unemployment trends, showed that the number of registered unemployed individuals in April 2024 decreased to 10.880 compared to 11.182 in the previous month.

Compared to April 2023, there was a decrease of 1.941 individuals or 17,2%, primarily attributed to sectors such as finance and insurance activities, accommodation and food services, construction, and trade, while a decrease was noted among new entrants fto the labor market.
