Theotokos Foundation Americos Argyriou, and Exness Partner to Develop a New Facility for the Child Development Center- To Alma, in Limassol
The Theotokos Foundation Americos Argyriou and Exness have signed an agreement to develop a new facility for the Child Development Center – To Alma in Limassol, marking an important step in enhancing specialized support services for children with developmental challenges and their families in Cyprus.
The agreement was formally signed on 20 March 2026 at the boarding house of the Theotokos Foundation Americos Argyriou by Alecos Orountiotis, BoD Chairman of the Theotokos Foundation Americos Argyriou, and Martin Thorvaldsson, Community Director at Exness.
The new center will replace the current facilities of the Child Development Center – To Alma, a program operated by the Theotokos Foundation Americos Argyriou that has supported children and families for more than three decades through early assessment, therapeutic intervention, and family consulting and guidance.
Designed as a purpose-built space for assessment, therapy, rehabilitation, and family support, the new facility will create a modern environment where children, specialists, and families can work together during the most critical stages of development. Alecos Orountiotis, BoD Chairman of the Theotokos Foundation Americos Argyriou, said: “Our mission at Alma has always been to ensure that every child has access to the support they require to develop their abilities and to strengthen their capacity to fully engage in society. This partnership marks an important milestone for the Theotokos Foundation Americos Argyriou, for the families we support every day, and for Cyprus as a whole. We are pleased to collaborate with Exness on a project that will further enhance early intervention, therapy, and family guidance by having a modern, spacious, and specialized facility. We would like to express our utmost gratitude to Exness for investing in the future of children in Cyprus.”
The project represents an estimated 3.65 million EUR investment in specialized child development services in Cyprus. The center will continue to be operated and managed by the Theotokos Foundation Americos Argyriou, ensuring continuity of care for the families it serves.
Early childhood intervention plays a crucial role in helping children develop essential skills that support lifelong learning, communication, and independence. With expanded facilities and improved infrastructure, the new center will enable the program to increase capacity and provide enhanced services to more children and families.
The project will move forward in several phases, with design work expected to begin in 2026, followed by construction between 2027 and 2028, installation of specialized equipment and furniture in 2028, and completion of the center in 2029.
The initiative reflects Exness’ long-term commitment to supporting projects that contribute to the well-being and development of local communities. Martin Thorvaldsson, Community Director at Exness, said: “This is the first step in a long journey to improve conditions for those in society who need support the most. We are honoured to be involved and look forward to completing the project so we can deliver real value to the community, rather than just talk about it.”
The signing of the agreement marks the first milestone in a multi-year project that will deliver a modern facility designed to support children and families for decades to come.
Further updates on the project’s development, including design progress and construction milestones, will be announced as the initiative progresses.
