Betting Revenue Rises 22% in Q4 2025

Increase In Gross Revenue And Continued Growth In Online Betting According To Data Released By The National Betting Authority.

The National Betting Authority announced its financial results for the fourth quarter of 2025, confirming the steady upward trajectory of Cyprus’ betting industry. Gross revenue generated by Class A (land-based) and Class B (online) betting operators for the October–December period reached €395,526,151, marking a 22% increase compared to the same period in 2024. On an annual basis, total revenue for 2025 amounted to €1,326,988,085, reflecting an 8% rise.

Revenue distribution highlighted the dominance of online betting, with Class B operators contributing €301,470,219, recording a 27% increase. Revenue from Class A operators reached €94,055,932, showing an annual increase of 9%. At the same time, player winnings for the quarter totaled €348,153,029, of which €271,455,714 came from Class B operations. Gross Gaming Revenue reached €47,373,122, representing a 4% increase, despite a 5% decline recorded specifically in Class A GGR.

In terms of employment and infrastructure, the number of licensed premises increased slightly to 467, with Nicosia and Limassol accounting for the highest concentration. The number of employees working in these establishments rose to 1,556, marking a 6% increase. However, the period also saw a 122% rise in license cancellations and withdrawals. On the regulatory front, the blacklist of illegal websites expanded to 22,009 entries, following the addition of 184 new domains during the fourth quarter.
