CFA Society Cyprus enters a new era as Andreas Spyrides, CFA, takes over the position of Board President, succeeding Constantinos Kourouyiannis, who completed his tenure leading the Association.

The election of Mr. Spyrides marks the continuation of CFA Society Cyprus’s growth trajectory, aimed at further strengthening the Association's presence in the Cypriot market, promoting high professional and ethical standards in the financial sector, and empowering the investment community's role in public debate regarding the economy and markets.

Andreas Spyrides holds the internationally recognized CFA Charterholder designation, one of the most prominent certifications in investment management and financial analysis. As an active member of the financial community in Cyprus, he possesses extensive industry experience, while his career path to date is characterized by continuous dedication to professional excellence, transparency, and the implementation of international best practices.

His relationship with CFA Society Cyprus is long-standing. Prior to assuming the Presidency, he actively participated in the actions and initiatives of CFA Society Cyprus, contributing to the advancement of its mission and objectives. Previously, he held the position of Vice President of the Association while simultaneously serving as head of the Advocacy Committee, through which he worked to promote expertise and high ethical standards in the local investment sector, enhance market integrity, and protect the local investment community.

At the same time, within the framework of the Committee, particular emphasis was placed on supporting and advising regulatory and legislative authorities on financial policies and regulations, as well as promoting ethics, the CFA designation, and financial literacy to the investment community and the general public.

Upon assuming his new duties, Mr. Spyrides is called upon to lead the Association during a period in which international economic developments, technological progress, and rising market requirements create new challenges alongside significant opportunities for the financial sector. The new leadership is expected to continue efforts to boost the prestige of CFA Society Cyprus, advance professional education, and support its members, keeping the principles of integrity, knowledge, and responsible investment practices at the core.
