Total sales of petroleum products in June 2026 reached 129,479 tonnes, recording an 8% decrease compared to June 2025, according to data published on Monday by the Statistical Service. Meanwhile, total petroleum stocks at the end of June 2026 decreased by 19.6% compared to the end of the previous month.

A decline was recorded in marine fuel supplies (-14.1%) and aviation fuel supplies (-13.7%), as well as in sales of kerosene (-51%), light fuel oil (-44.2%), heating oil (-16.8%), asphalt (-12.2%), and motor diesel (-2.4%).

Conversely, an increase was noted in sales of heavy fuel oil (74.8%) and gasoline (1.8%).

Regarding sales from filling stations specifically, these presented a 1.4% decrease to 59,271 tonnes.

As reported by the Statistical Service, total petroleum sales during the month of June 2026 compared to May 2026 recorded a 1.5% rise. Indicatively, fuel supplies to aircraft (6.1%) and ships (5.9%) increased, along with sales of motor diesel (5.6%) and gasoline (4.5%).

During the period of January – June 2026, total petroleum sales recorded a 1.2% rise compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
