The Program Includes 26 Online Courses, Divided Into 10 Thematic Modules, With a Total Duration of 70 Hours

Athens Technology Center (ATC) has successfully completed a complex project to implement an integrated online education (eLearning) solution, within the framework of a contract with the Cyprus Academy of Public Administration (CAPA) – Public Administration and Personnel Department. The project concerned the design and development of an integrated educational program of asynchronous electronic education under the general title “Organizational Development – The modern public organization“.

The program includes 26 online courses, divided into 10 thematic modules, with a total duration of 70 hours, which were integrated into the CAPA e-learning platform that has also been implemented in the past by ATC. The value of the contract amounts to €617,450 plus VAT and includes technical support for updating and/or changing the content of the asynchronous online courses over a five-year period.

The courses’ content included in the program has been drawn from the criteria of the Common Assessment Framework (CAF) and reflects all aspects of the operation of a modern Public Organization, with a particular emphasis on the development of topics related to reforms for the modernization of the public service that promotes the Department of Public Administration and Personnel. Upon completion of the relevant process, trainee civil servants, and especially middle managers and managers, strengthen the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to support management changes in their organizations.

For the successful implementation of the project, ATC collaborated with INTELEARN, which has been successfully active in the field of educational technologies since 1989, and has extensive experience in the field of educational design and implementation of eLearning applications.

The two companies organized and coordinated the team of experts who undertook the creation of the educational material of the individual thematic units of the program, developed the detailed educational design of each course, and implemented the digital courses applying a very high level of interaction.

According to the Contract Coordinator, Mr. Marios Konstantinou, Senior Training Officer of CAPA "the collaboration with ATC has been exemplary and has achieved the intended results, which create the conditions and support our effort to offer the necessary training with a combination of electronic asynchronous and synchronous learning, in the direction of development of the human resources of the Cypriot Public Service".
