This Cyprus School Was Named the Best Culinary Institution in the Mediterranean

Historic Win for Cyprus at the 3rd Mediterranean Culinary Competition in Athens

The Larnaca Technical and Vocational School of Education and Training has been named the best culinary school in the Mediterranean, marking a historic achievement.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Education, Sports, and Youth, this is the first time a technical school has surpassed colleges and universities to claim the top spot at the 3rd Mediterranean Culinary Competition in Athens.

The school distinguished itself with its youngest-ever competitors, who impressed the judges and secured first place in the "Mediterranean School of the Year" category. Their success demonstrates that talent, dedication, and passion can overcome any challenge.

The Ministry of Education extended its congratulations to students Panayiotis Diomidous, Nikola Toumpas, and Agapios Chatzidemetriou, as well as their mentors, instructors Michalis Michailidis and Evgoras Chatzipavlou, who guided and accompanied them throughout the competition. The delegation was also joined by the Coordinator of the Hospitality and Catering Professions Sector, Assistant Director Giorgos Kyprianou.

The contribution of culinary instructors Kypros Mitas, Konstantinos Psindrou, Andreas Paschalis, Marinos Kyriakou, Christos Karaolis, and Evripidis Savvas was also acknowledged as significant to this achievement.
