Fuckup Nights in Cyprus Turns 2

Fuckup Nights in Cyprus Turns 2

Honest Stories Behind Success.

What if failure wasn’t something to hide, but something to learn from?

For the past two years, Fuckup Nights in Cyprus has been building a different kind of space, with events in both Limassol and Nicosia. Not your typical business conference, but a relaxed, unconventional event where founders, professionals, and creatives share the stories behind things that didn’t go as planned.

A Global Movement Challenging How Cyprus Talks About Success Through Failure

Part of a global movement and event series present in 270+ cities worldwide, Fuckup Nights arrived in Cyprus with a simple idea: to normalize failure, encourage honest conversations, and turn setbacks into powerful learning experiences.

Since its launch in early 2024, the events have brought together thousands of entrepreneurs, executives, and curious minds looking for something more real than polished success stories.

What Happens on Stage

Each event features four speakers from diverse industries who share failed ventures, wrong decisions, and unexpected turning points—the moments that shaped their careers but are rarely talked about publicly.

Past speakers have included:

  • Andreas Spyrou (ASG Leasing)

  • Martin Zarian (Factory39, Balabook)

  • Paris Thomas (Talent Hacks, Rapid Visual AI)

  • Farah Shammas (St. Raphael Resort & Marina)

  • Gala Grigoreva (Adsterra)

  • Michael Tyrimos (Capacitor Partners)

  • Stella Koukounis (Solsidus Law)

  • and many others.

Building a Strong Community, Not Just Events

Beyond the stage, Fuckup Nights Limassol and Fuckup Nights Nicosia have become a platform for meaningful conversations and unexpected connections, promoting a sense of trust and openness within the community.

A key contributor to this growth has been the community itself, along with event partners and the Digital Tree Group, who have supported the movement from the very beginning and helped amplify its reach across the island.

A Word From the Organizer

“We’re not just another business event. We’re building a space where people can be real — where failure is not judged, but shared, understood, and even laughed about.

It’s relaxed, it’s honest, and it creates a kind of trust you don’t usually find in professional environments. That’s what makes people come back, year after year.”  — Mariia Sibirtseva, organizer of Fuckup Nights Limassol and Fuckup Nights Nicosia

What’s Next

As the movement celebrates its two-year milestone, the next edition—Fuckup Nights Limassol Vol. 6—will take place on April 7 at The Warehouse by IT Quarter.

The event will bring a new lineup of speakers, fresh fuckup stories, and a unique open-air setting by the sea.

Because behind every success story, there’s always a fuckup no one talks about.
