TEDx Talk Inspired Change and Celebrated Local Legends in Limassol
Limassol, Cyprus - 27th March 2024 - TEDxMolos made its dazzling debut last week, on 27th March, at the Plevsis Hall, Old Port Limassol, with an inaugural event themed "Legends: From Passion to Change". The event commenced at 18:30, promising an enchanting evening filled with enlightening talks, captivating performances, and meaningful connections, all centred around the theme of leveraging passion for societal transformation.
Initiated, organised and emceed by Gala Grigoreva, CMO at Adsterra and community leader of Women in Tech Cyprus, with the support of a dedicated team of volunteers, TEDxMolos aims to foster a local community spirit and spark positive actions. Renowned speakers from diverse fields including psychology, biotechnology, entrepreneurship, digital well-being, maternity support graced the stage to share their stories and insights.
Philippos Aristotelous, an award-winning lawyer, author, and business consultant, kicked off the event by shedding light on "hidden power of constraint." Dr. Marianna Prokopi-Demetriades, a biotech innovator and Clinical Associate Professor in Research Oncology, delved into the integration of humanity into oncology and innovative cancer treatments, inspiring the audience with insights into the future of cancer care.
Stylianos Lambrou, a heart-centred entrepreneur and community builder, shared his entrepreneurial journey and impact-driven initiatives, while Nataliia Miranchuk captivated the audience with her journey into the concept of maternity as an artist's way. The event also featured Sofia Popovidou, a digital well-being proponent, who discussed strategies to overcome social media comparison, encouraging a healthier online presence.
