Adama Festival Returns to Nicosia with Music, Tradition, and Culture

The 2nd edition of the Adama Festival brings live traditional music, crafts, and workshops to the Municipal Garden.

For the second consecutive year, the Nicosia International Festival hosts the Adama Festival as part of its Parallel Program. Following last year’s success, the festival returns renewed and expanded, opening its doors at the Nicosia Municipal Garden. This year, it will run for two days: Saturday, September 27 (15:00 – 00:00) and Sunday, September 28 (12:00 – 21:30), featuring a rich program of live traditional music.

The Adama Festival was created by a group of young people and serves as a celebration dedicated to tradition, community, music, and the arts, while promoting Cyprus’s cultural heritage. It presents ensembles and artists inspired by Cypriot and Mediterranean traditions, including Windcraft Band, Kanvinitisses, Nomades, Larnaca Music School “Mikis Theodorakis,” Project Pithkiavlin, Michalis Terlikkas with his group “Mousa,” Michalis & Petros Kouloumis with the participation of Fr. Tombazou, Chr. Isidorou, and D. Pichas.

Beyond music, the festival will showcase traditional crafts and professions, along with interactive workshops where visitors can actively participate. Free traditional dance workshops will also take place throughout the event, creating a dynamic cultural experience.
