Cyprus ranks 113th out of 146 countries on the Global Gender Gap Index. Gender equality is not a given—nor will it happen on its own. It requires voices, presence, and constant demands for change.

Femme Fest Cyprus returns for its fourth edition on May 24 and 25, transforming Nicosia’s Municipal Garden into a space of vibrant expression and social dialogue. The festival will once again bring together communities, artists, and activists in a collective call for equality.

What to expect:

• Open discussions on sports, cinema, women's multiple identities, and sexism in public discourse

• Empowerment workshops focused on breaking down stereotypes

• Personal narratives shared live through the Femme Talks sessions

• Artistic performances including music, theatre, dance, and visual arts

• Children’s activities designed through a gender lens

• Over 50 booths featuring NGOs, collectives, and local creators

A major highlight of this year’s festival is the participation of Natassa Bofiliou, who will join a panel discussion on equality and women’s voices in society.
