Innovative Performance 'Bodies we fa|| for' Breaks Boundaries in Love and Accessibility

Inclusive Art Explores Love's Many Facets, Premieres at Beyond DisDance Festival in Cyprus

Two young women unfold their raw, accessible, and inclusive truth about love in the performance "Bodies we fa|| for," based on real narratives. The performance explores which bodies we ultimately fall in love with.

Centered around this question, Naya and Panayiota coexist on stage, representing the love stories of their generation. Using interviews, excerpts of which are presented verbatim on stage, they ponder first kisses, dates, sex, acquaintances, and dating apps.

The performance also delves into love's accessibility - equal access for every body type. "Bodies we fa|| for" is the first performance in Cyprus created from the outset with creative accessibility terms. It incorporates dramaturgical elements of accessibility, live interpretation in Cypriot Sign Language, and subtitles for individuals with hearing impairments, as well as tactile tours and auditory description elements for those with visual impairments.

First showcased at the 2nd Inclusive Performing Arts Festival Beyond DisDance, organized by Polyhōros Synergy in Limassol in collaboration with Liminal, the performance marks a significant step in inclusive art.

Supported by the Youth Initiatives program of the Cyprus Youth Organization and backed by Phytorio P&E. The performance is accessible to individuals with visual, auditory, and mobility impairments.
