Karolina Pelendritou Launches Non-Profit to Empower People with Disabilities

An initiative supporting equality and inclusion for women, children, athletes, and people with disabilities.

Three-time Paralympic gold medalist Karolina Pelendritou announced last Monday the creation of the non-profit organization “Through My Eyes”, dedicated to supporting people with disabilities, women, children, and athletes.

Operating under the full name “Through My Eyes by Karolina Pelendritou”, the organization aspires to serve as a platform of empowerment, guidance, and inspiration, enhancing individual skills so that everyone can participate equally in society.

In her statement, Pelendritou emphasized the core mission: strengthening each person’s abilities “so they can actively participate and feel like equal members of a society that embraces diversity as wealth.”

According to the official press release, the organization’s slogan “from darkness to light” reflects Pelendritou’s personal journey. “It was born from my own path – from darkness to light – guided by the spark of my inner strength and my desire to offer support to those who need it,” she explained.

“This is my vision: to see the world through my eyes and strive to make it better for everyone,” she added.

Under the umbrella of Through My Eyes by Karolina Pelendritou, all of her charitable initiatives will be hosted. These include the “Blackened Goggles Challenge” swimming charity event, which will take place for the third consecutive year on October 12 in Limassol, as well as motivational talks and appearances designed to inspire and encourage people with disabilities, women, youth, and athletes.

In conclusion, Pelendritou stressed: “Together we can achieve more, create opportunities for everyone, and build a future full of possibilities.”
