The Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia is home to 18 beaches awarded the Blue Flag out of a total of 56 presented across Cyprus, according to a statement by the Municipality.

"This significant distinction constitutes international recognition of the exceptional quality of the area's bathing waters, the high standard of infrastructure and services, as well as the systematic care invested in matters of safety, cleanliness, and environmental management," it notes.

According to the announcement, this success is the result of a continuous, collective, and organized effort, which relies on the cooperation of the Municipal Council, the Municipal Service, and everyone who works daily with consistency, professionalism, and dedication to maintain and upgrade the Municipality's beaches. At the same time, it is added, "it reflects the continuous interventions, demands, and well-documented proposals of the Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia toward the relevant decision-making bodies, aiming at the continuous improvement of infrastructure and provided services."

The Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia "expresses warm thanks to CYMEPA and all involved bodies for their long-standing cooperation and their contribution to the international Blue Flag program, which serves as a global benchmark for quality and environmental responsibility."
