Woody, Buzz and the rest of the Toy Story crew return under director Andrew Stanton.
Woody, Buzz Lightyear and the rest of the beloved Toy Story crew are back in the first teaser trailer for Pixar’s upcoming Toy Story 5, set to hit cinemas in the summer of 2026.
In the teaser, the toys meet “Lilipad,” a high-tech, frog-shaped tablet that complicates life for Buzz, Woody, Jessie and the rest of the gang, as they face an entirely new kind of… threat.
Tom Hanks and Tim Allen reprise their iconic roles as Woody and Buzz, joined once again by Joan Cusack as Jessie, Blake Clark as Slinky Dog and Tony Hale as Forky. Conan O’Brien also joins the cast as Smarty Pants, a new character in the franchise.
The film is directed by veteran filmmaker Andrew Stanton, known for Finding Nemo, WALL-E and Finding Dory. Stanton, who co-wrote all four previous Toy Story films, takes on the role of sole screenwriter for this latest chapter.
The original Toy Story, released in 1995, was a landmark in animation history. Toy Story 5 will mark Pixar’s 31st feature-length production.
