A brief spell of wintry weather is on the way, with the highest peaks of the Troodos range facing a chance of sleet or light snow this weekend as temperatures drop back to seasonal levels. A weak high-pressure system currently affects the region, while low pressure is expected on Friday. From Thursday onwards, periods of light dust will also be present in the atmosphere.

In the afternoon, the weather will be partly cloudy and at times mostly cloudy, with isolated light showers possible. Winds will blow mainly from the northeast to southeast, light to moderate, at 3 to 4 Beaufort, and the sea will be up to slightly rough.

Tonight, the weather will remain mostly cloudy at intervals, with a chance of isolated light showers. Winds will blow mainly from the north to northeast, light to moderate, at 3 to 4 Beaufort, while the sea will be up to slightly rough. Temperatures will fall to 11°C inland, around 14°C on the coasts, and 6°C in the higher mountains.

Tomorrow’s Forecast: Clouds, Winds and Isolated Rain

Tomorrow, the weather will be partly cloudy and at times mostly cloudy, with isolated showers possible. Winds will blow mainly from the northeast to southeast, light to moderate, at 3 to 4 Beaufort, and occasionally strong in windward areas at 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be slightly rough and locally rough on windward coasts. Temperatures will reach around 23°C inland and on the coasts, and 13°C in the higher mountains.
